Vintage Find.

We are seriously in Vintage Love. This cabinet is so special. It is truly a one-of-a-kind find.
It is in the shop right now but trust us, if we had the space for it it would be in one of our homes!
We hope it finds a perfect new home and will be loved as much (or more if possible) then we do.

This Vintage cabniet has all its original pieces. There are these great little shelves and cubbies. We think it could make an absolutely fantastic bar. Cool idea, right?!

Anyhow, you must come check it out while we have it.

Smelling Delightful.

We have been huge fans of the wonderful line Elizabeth W that we have been carrying for years! The products are made in San Francisco, CA and every scent is just delightful!
So, when they told us they were launching a whole new look with new scents and products perfect for us at Urban Cottage, Inc.... we were beside ourselves! And, we fell in love with it all & it will be coming in really soon!
To get our space ready, we have made all of our in stock Elizabeth W products 25% off so you do not want to miss out on stocking up for yourself and for gifts. We have diffusers, parfume, bath salts, candles, lotion, travel canldes, gift sets...
We will be sure to let you know when all the new stuff is in too!

Perfect & Happy.

Custom Buffet Cabinet

Lovely knobs chosen

A very large part of our business over the past fifteen years has been our custom furniture. Since we have quite a lot of our wooden furniture pieces manufactured ourselves, we can do pretty much anything you can think of. We can do custom sizes, colors, designs... you name it and we will help you get it made.

Just this past week, we delivered this absolutely fantastic custom buffet delivered. The customer was thrilled with how it turned out! We helped design it and created it exactly to the desired specifications.
We even searched for the special knobs and color finish they wanted. It really turned out so lovely. It is perfect and happy in its new home!

Happy Windows.

We love windows. We love having natural light shine in a home but we also just LOVE to make the windows happy! It's why we offer custom window treatments. We do drapes, roman shades, valances, curtains.. You name it and we can help you get exactly what you want. We even will help you pick the perfect fabric. We sell hundreds of wonderful fabrics by the yard to help our customers make us their one stop shop to make  your house your home.
We had fun helping a customer cheer up her windows. She picked out this great colorful print fabric and we went to measure her windows and had these roman shades made! They make her windows happy ones!

Lamp Love.

This week we got in a bunch of new lamps. And, we really LOVE lamps.
A great lamp can really make the entire room. Seriously! It is just like a fabulous accessory for your outfit. Think about it like this... If you are wearing just a simple top with jeans but FABULOUS shoes; that's it! A unbelievable outfit is complete.

You should never add lamps as an after thought! Make them your pop pieces! You will never be sorry, trust us. We have a pair of these lovely mercury glass table lamps. They are perfect for bedside lamps, living room, family room, dining room, office... pretty much anywhere lamps.

Fresh Arrivals

Today was a really fun day! We got in a truckload of really fantastic furniture. Some of the fresh arrivals are Vintage pieces that we purchased and had restored and others just really great reproduction pieces. The shop is jam packed with awesome new furniture!
This photo is a awesomely rustic bench we had made out of our old barnwood right here in our Atlanta warehouse. All of these pieces can be ordered at the shop in any dimensions and colors.

Fabulous Summer Pillows

One of the easiest ways to switch up your room for the season is by changing the pillows! We just got some really fabulous summer pillows. We have them in bright colors and cheery prints. They are the perfect addition to a sofa, chair, bench, bed or nook.
This Settee looks so happy with the new pillows!

Virginia Highland Summerfest 2013

We are back to blogging!
Atlanta's best summer festival is in our neighborhood, the Virginia Highland Summerfest, and its this coming weekend! We have sooooo much wonderful new merchandise arriving daily.

We are kicking off our blog this weekend in celebration of the VA Highland Summerfest with loads of great treats in our outdoor tents. And, we will have specials throughout the store.

Old Spindles

Right now in the shop, we have some absolutely wonderfully fantastic Vintage Pieces! Vintage Furniture and Accessories are one of my most favorite things to find. Seriously, when we find things that are in great condition, really unique and have purpose; we just can not help ourselves! Pictured to the left are really great old wooden thread spindles. They are from India and were used in Textile Mills. They would be a great addition to any bookshelf and will make any room feel cozy, which is so important!
