Different Than a Key Chain

I have way too many keys. Some of them, I keep only because I am not sure what they even go to. Probably, I should just get rid of them. But, for some reason, I am almost afraid to. So, here I am with way too many keys traveling with me all the time. I used to have keys missing until I found these great little key rings that can hold as many keys as needs. They are on a very strong metal wire cord and have a beautiful hand blown glass bead on either end to keep all the keys from falling off. All you have to do is unscrew the one end off and straighten the cord out and put your keys right on. Then you just tighten it back and all your keys are safe. Besides having your keys safe, the key ring is really cute! I actually get asked about my key ring all the time. They are a great little gift and great to get for yourself. We have them at the shop and they are only $24. You will definitely have to have one! They are great!

Just a Little Something

If you need just a little something for a friend, family member or coworker, we really try to have just the thing! We always have these little coin purses that everyone just falls in love with. Most people who purchase them say they are the perfect little something that they have been looking for! Mother's Day is Around the Corner!

If someone asked me what one of the best things in my life were, it would hands down be my mom! She has supported me and been my cheerleader throughout life. I honestly am so grateful for her everyday. Well, Mother's Day is around the corner, Sunday May 10th to be exact. It is the perfect time to make some time to show a little love to your mom. If she is not around, spend time and keep her memory alive. Mother's Day is one of the best days of the year (besides Father's Day). 

Anyhow, we have some really special cards and books to show a little love! 

Lady Rogue Business Network

Lady Rogue of Rogue Apron is a friend of Urban Cottage. She has started the Lady Rogue Business Network (LRBN) and we have offered to host the monthly meetings at the shop. It is a fantastic group of people (not just ladies) and we all meet up and chat about business ideas and networking. It is always a different. Someone usually does a pitch about their business ideas and gets feedback from the group. I enjoy being able to offer the shop to have a way to help people. I am always open for new ideas for fun ways to network. This is a great way. The meetings are once a month. Check it out! And btw, Lady Rogue is awesome! 

Storage Cool!

Storage can be cool! If you are in a home lacking storage closets (like most) than you are lucky. There are actually storage pieces that can make your things look stylish not cluttered and messy. A good option is metal wire storage items. We offer cool storage items like this such as a three tier round basket storage. I use them all over the store to display all sorts of items. In the home, they are great in a kitchen, bathroom and on a porch amongst other places. You can even get a bookcase that is metal wire storage. I try to have one in the Little Black Dress room to house tops or accessories. These are so great in an entryway, office or bedroom. I absolutely think these pieces add a taste of something different wherever they are placed. There is no decor style that can not add something from this collection.

It's Back!

Finally, we have gotten in the absolutely fantastic diffusers that everyone can not stay away from! They are made by Elizabeth W, which is made in San Francisco. We just can not keep these in stock. They really are amazing though. They last well over a year. I have a Rose and Sweet Tea one that we have had in use since last February (2008). The shop still carries the smell like it did when they were first opened. It is quite unbelievable. We carry lots of products by them. They are all just really lovely. The line has bath gel, body lotion, bath pouches, soaps, perfume and much more. The scents we always have are Rose, Sweet Tea, Vetiver, Lavender, Magnolia and Neroli Chamomile. The packaging is also so wonderful. Lastly, the price points are really reasonable for such high quality products! Come and smell away!

Handmade Pottery

Setting the table and making it look pretty is one of my very favorite things to do. I own more plates, bowls, flatware, serving pieces and table linens than you can imagine! Nothing matches and that is how I like it! I have pretty much every color you can imagine. But, I think it really makes setting the table and making it look pretty, just plain fun! I have some beautiful pieces of Portuguese Handmade pottery that I just love. If you add some simple place settings and a few really different serving pieces and a couple Handmade Pinch Pots with fresh herbs or flowers, you are totally ready to have a really fantastic table. Concrete Lace's Pinch Pots are the perfect solution to add something fresh and still be able to see over. I help Lady Rogue of Rogue Apron set the tables for some of her events. It is Seagrass Season! Furniture made from Seagrass adds an incredible amount of texture in a room. It is a rich natural material and will last forever.
